On June 29, 2022, in the premises of the High Medical College of Professional Studies "Milutin Milankovic", a forum was organized with the aim of exchanging experiences and comparing practices between teachers and students of the High Medical College of Professional Studies "Milutin Milankovic" and the University of Belgrade and teachers and students of several universities from the USA ( Central Michigan, Indiana, South Carolina).
Students and teachers from America visited our School as part of their study stay in the Republic of Serbia. These are the best students of the American universities who were selected for a study visit to our country, based on strict criteria, and this is also part of their exam.
The forum was attended by Prof. Dr. Shay Dawson from Central Michigan University, which is one of the 100 best universities in America, Prof. Dr. Laurie Ann Eldridge from the University of Indianapolis, Assistant Professor Cedomir Stanojevic from the University of South Carolina, Prof. Dr. Fadilj Eminovic, Prof. Dr. Goran Nedovic from the University of Belgrade, Assistant Professor Ivana Sretenovic, who is engaged at the University of Belgrade and our College, as well as the hosts Prof. Dr. Srecko Potic, Director of the School and Svetlana Sentjakov, Manager of the School, and Jelena Sekulic, English teacher language as a translator.
In addition to foreign students, students from our School also attended the forum. After the welcome speech and the presentation of our High Medical College of Professional Studies, an extensive discussion was opened in which everyone present participated. They discussed the way and performance of professional practice in both countries, the way of taking exams, the organization of studies and exam deadlines, the amount of school fees, the health systems . This forum was an opportunity to compare two educational systems, to observe tendencies in higher education in developed countries, which could be useful in the subsequent modifications of our study curriculum.
